#TransDayOfVisibility I love, appreciate, and cele #TransDayOfVisibility I love, appreciate, and celebrate all transgender and non-binary people who make this world a better place by being their wonderful and authentic selves. 
My husband is transgender and I am not going to lie - my heart is heavy, especially lately, and I don't know if I have the words to explain why. I hate that we live in a world that is breaking records for anti-trans legislation and rhetoric. I hate that I worry about my husband constantly not only because we live in Oklahoma but because transphobia is everywhere.
I want to wrap him in my arms and shield him (and you) from every unkind look, every hurtful word, every moment that is tinged with something less than love and acceptance. Because you shouldn't have to bear any of that.
I wish you safe spaces and unconditional love. I hope you have a support system that will advocate for you when you are scared or tired of advocating for yourself (because it is exhausting). I hope one day you don't have to live in a place of being hypervigilant or scared or having to defend or explain your right to just *be*. 
I will tell you over and over again that you are loved and wanted and accepted and WONDERFUL and BEAUTIFUL and that your life matters and you deserve to feel happy and free and at home within yourself.
Thank you. You make my life richer just by being you.

I know it doesn't feel that way sometimes.
But you are part of allllll of this and you are important.

What's one thing that you did this week that made What's one thing that you did this week that made you proud of yourself?
Depression, anxiety, chronic illness, and executiv Depression, anxiety, chronic illness, and executive dysfunction can make it hard to do the things.
So if you did a thing today, I am celebrating you. I know it can often feel shameful because everyone else makes it look easy.
But I am celebrating you.

📚 If you have a huge to-read pile and it's so overwhelming that you can't pick *anything*, choose one at random without over-thinking it and just goooo.
📚 If you have difficulty choosing any book, look at the bestsellers in your favorite category and pick one of the top ten.
📚 Go to your local library and spend an afternoon wandering.
📚 Sometimes our brains need fluff - go to the young adult section and pick a book 15 year-old you would have been interested in.
📚 Audiobooks count! Some libraries let you check out audiobooks online and there are also websites where you can find free classics.
📚 Ask your friends for book recommendations or go to r/booksuggestions and see if that helps you choose something.
📚 If you have trouble focusing on reading, set a timer or commit to reading one chapter at a time.
📚 Promise yourself a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut if you finish the book 😂😁
