    Hmm, what am I happy about eh?
    I'm happy that Max's behaviour has chilled a bit over the last week – sweet relief!
    I'm happy that it's friday night and I'm up perusing the internets knowing that I won't have to get us all up! and dressed! and fed! and out the door! for 9am tomorrow morning.
    I'm happy that at the end of January, I can say that I've really taken my word/phrase of the year seriously (DO, as in, "JUST DO IT ALREADY!". I've joined and am going to the gym (enjoying it too!), I've sent away for my learner's permit to start driving lessons, I've signed up to do a sponsored white water rafting event for charity, and I've started really looking into what course I'm going to start in January next year! Go me! :D

I think it's going to be used for more than just the self-care/coping skills aspect but to really open up conversations about sensory likes and dislikes and help so many people verbalize things that bring them joy *and* agitate them.

And I'm telling myself that's okay.
I wanted to hold space for those of us that feel that stay-in-bed-all-day heaviness today too. Who don't feel like celebrating for reasons that are hard to talk about. I love you.
Be kind to yourself and have compassion for the way you feel. Your feelings are valid and important and you matter.

It's okay to have bad days. You can't carry everyt It's okay to have bad days. You can't carry everything all of the time. You can't be strong all of the time. You can't be happy all of the time.
All things I've struggled with in my life. (If the song Surface Pressure from Encanto made you feel things then you probably get it.) Last year, I found myself overwhelmed trying to be all of those things.
This year, I've given myself permission to admit that some days I can't handle everything that life throws at me and it's okay to take a step back or ask for help. Permission to be unhappy and feel my feelings, and to be utterly imperfect. 
If you need it, I give you permission for those things as well. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you that you still have value on your bad days.
You're still loved.
Still worthy.
You're not failing when you're struggling.
