Today is hard. I lost my mom years ago and the gri Today is hard. I lost my mom years ago and the grief is still there. And I'm telling myself that's okay. I wanted to hold space for those of us that feel that stay-in-bed-all-day heaviness today too. Who don't feel like celebrating for reasons that are hard to talk about. I love you. Be kind to yourself and have compassion for the way you feel. It's okay to have bad days. You can't carry everyt It's okay to have bad days. You can't carry everything all of the time. You can't be strong all of the time. You can't be happy all of the time. All things I've struggled with in my life. (If the song Surface Pressure from Encanto made you feel things then you probably get it.) Last year, I found myself overwhelmed trying to be all of those things. This year, I've given myself permission to admit that some days I can't handle everything that life throws at me and it's okay to take a step back or ask for help. Permission to be unhappy and feel my feelings, and to be utterly imperfect. If you need it, I give you permission for those things as well. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you that you still have value on your bad days. You're still loved. Still worthy.
