Happy (almost February!)
Here are your self care tarotscopes for February! I used my handy dandy tarot deck (Everyday Witch Tarot) to pull a card for each zodiac sign on how you can best take care of yourself and practice self care this month.
AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18)
Glass half full or glass half empty? It doesn’t really matter because there are more glasses and more liquid to fill them. That’s not your only glass, stop obsessing about it! This month, take a look at where your glasses are filled to the brim, the things that are going right in your life. Don’t get so caught up in what’s going wrong that you forget about what’s going right.
Self Care Activity: Start a gratitude challenge. (We have one in the SoulSisterhood!) Take a moment every day to appreciate what’s going right in your life right now. Count your blessings.
PISCES (February 19-March 20)
Is there something that you’re half-assing in your life? It’s time to put your whole ass into it, or give it up altogether and find something that sets you on fire (in a good way). If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well. Remember that.
Self Care Activity: Find that spark of passion. Put passion into your work or into your hobbies. Don’t allow yourself to sink into zombiedom where you just go through the motions. Put that big, huge, lovely heart into it.
ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Is your back hurting right now? You’re carrying so many burdens that it’s a wonder you’re still standing upright. It’s time to put some of those burdens down. You are carrying a lot and it’s not just your baggage, it’s suitcases upon suitcases that belong to other people that you shouldn’t be lugging around with you. It’s time to lessen the burden on yourself.
Self Care Activity: Learn how to say “no”. You do so much for other people, take on their problems and issues and load it onto your own back thinking you’ve got it. You don’t got it. Learn how to create healthy boundaries so that you aren’t overburdening yourself.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
You’re going through a bad time, or just getting through one. Look up. When everything all around you sucks and feels hopeless – look up. See that the sun is still shining. That there is always a new dawn. The world keeps spinning and in the huge, gigantic, solar-system-sized picture of life, you’re going to be okay.
Self Care Activity: Don’t let yourself drown in despair. Go out there and be proactive in your recovery. Discover what will help you move on and feel better and then take those steps. It’s okay to have a little pity party for yourself as long as you don’t stay there.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Just because you have everything you want, doesn’t mean that you have everything you need. Everything in your life might seem fine on the outside – maybe you look so put together, perfect life, perfect family or job. Just because things look good doesn’t mean that there’s not something missing. Stop ignoring it.
Self Care Activity: If something in your life is missing – go out and find it. This might take you in a surprising direction, but it’s time to follow your heart and fill it up with that missing piece. You aren’t meant to live with that empty space inside of you. Go seek it out.
CANCER (June 21-July 22)
Something has been set in motion in your life. It might feel like a runaway train, something that won’t stop and might leave a wave of destruction in its path. Ride that train. Instead of focusing all of your energy on trying to stop it – see where it takes you instead.
Self Care Activity: It’s time to start something new. Project, job, relationship – it might seem completely overwhelming at first but it will bring good things with it. Let yourself be swept away. Go with it.
LEO (July 23-August 22)
It’s time to take a look at what you are putting out into the world. We’ve all been in a place where we’ve wished that karma would deal with someone, but often in those situations, we turn a blind eye to our part in things. The Universe sees everything so before you pass judgment on someone else, make sure that you’re self-aware as well.
Self Care Activity: You’ve heard ‘you reap what you sow’ and ‘what goes around comes around’, this is your reminder to put good out into the world. It’s never too late to change what you’re putting out there.
VIRGO (August 23-September 22)
Keep your cool. If you’ve been finding yourself getting emotionally upset, it’s time to step back and create some emotional distance. It’s time to figure out in a logical and straightforward manner why you are letting that thing get under your skin.
Self Care Activity: It might be time for you to realize that how other people act is often a reflection of them and not you. Find a way to step back from being so sensitive and logically allow yourself to see that it’s not your fault.
LIBRA (September 23-October 22)
If you aren’t good at thinking with your head – it’s time to start, there’s an area of your life that needs it right now. If that’s something that you’re good at, see if there’s someone in your life that’s in need of a little head-lead advice. Draw on your own experiences and embrace the wisdom you’ve been given or impart it to others.
Self Care Activity: If you have a problem seeing yourself as wise, take out your journal and start writing about some of the things you’ve experienced. Access your wisdom. Put it there in black and white so that you can see that you are stronger and braver than you thought you were.
SCORPIO (October 23-November 21)
We’ve all seen that meme of a horse tethered to a plastic lawn chair with the caption “What’s holding you back is all in your head.” That’s your message this month. You feel like you’re trapped but in reality, the door is wide open if you allow yourself to see it.
Self Care Activity: Look at your life right now and then ask yourself if there’s something that you want to be doing that you’re making excuses not to do. Are those excuses valid or are they just that – excuses? Is your mind holding you back from something that you want in your life?
SAGITTARIUS (November 22-December 21)
There are times in life when you feel stuck in a state of limbo and like nothing you do will get you out of it. No matter how hard you beat your head against the wall you just don’t know what to do about it. There is a way through this situation. It just requires a bit of ingenuity.
Self Care Activity: Where in your life do you feel stuck? It’s time to get creative. Wherever you feel that sense of being unable to move you’ve got to fight against it. You’ve got to see how you can go under, around, or over the problem, if you can’t go through it.
CAPRICORN (December 22-January 19)
There’s a cycle that has come to an end in your life and it’s time to give a nod to it. Acknowledge endings and beginnings and the turning of the circle and let yourself lean into it. Feel it, see how much power and strength it took to get where you are.
Self Care Activity: If you’re used to jumping from one project into another, take a moment right now to celebrate or grieve. Some cycles end with that feeling accomplishment – celebrate it. Others mark a period of grief – let yourself feel it.
