If you fall anywhere on the scale of nature-loving-pagan then you know that tomorrow is the Summer Solstice, one of the solar holidays, which means it marks the beginning of a certain season. Well, hello there Summer. The Summer Solstice, also called Litha, is when the Sun is at the peak of its power. The days are longer and it's shining hot and bright in the sky. Soak in that warmth (but use sunscreen). It's also when the Faery Folk come out to play. Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, anyone?
It's a day of light and is the perfect time for picnics and flower crowns and sunshine and laughter.
Summer Solstice Self-Care
I'm going to spend the day tending to my proverbial hearth, my home, my safe place and practicing some heavy self-care. I'm feeling some internal blocks when it comes to my happiness and embracing my own power. Gotta do the work to fix that. Since it is the brightest day, all sunshine and light, think about letting that light into the different aspects of your life. Do the work to bring that sunshine into your relationships, your home life, your feelings toward yourself. And if you want more ideas, check out the summer ebook I wrote forever ago. Tons of self-care, crystals, aromatherapy ideas and more.
I've made you some cute little backgrounds for your phone with self-care reminders. Let's go into this new season practicing self-care and loving on ourselves.

What are your plans for the Summer Solstice?

Beautiful!
Your post reminded me of the Summer Solstice ceremonies I attended in Denmark many years ago and I smiled because at the first one I attended, it started to rain so we had to wait to light the bonfire! I love your self-care reminders.
These are wonderful, Dominee! They are joyful and fun and the messages on each are fabulous reminders. Although I didn’t do much for the Summer Solstice this year, I feel the summer energy very strongly. It’s the time of year when we are lighter and out in the world more, so we really do need to be conscious of taking care of ourselves.
