I used to think values had to be high ideals. Things like “honor”, “integrity”, and “respect” - things that were incredibly serious and that focus on being a “good” person. Those concepts have their place among our core values but there is also room for things like what makes us a happy person and an authentic person.
Your values are traits, ideas, or concepts that you build your life on.
These core values worksheets will help you figure out what your core values and beliefs are. It will also help you identify which of your values is inherited and whether or not it's one you want to keep with you!
The goal here is to put all of your beliefs and values on “pause” and then sort through them objectively, like clothes in a closet. We’re going to ask ourselves: “Does this fit? Does this represent who I am? Who gave me this? Am I trying to squeeze myself into it to make someone else happy?” These Core Values and Beliefs Worksheets will help you focus on that. Your values and beliefs also fall under the Foundations of Self-Love so it's important to know yours!
