Delight in the simple things…

Good morning Wishcasters! This week’s prompt “What do you wish to delight in? made me think of my post on Sunday called 5 Ways To Embrace Joy.

I wish to delight in the little things.

Over the past few weeks I’ve lost my ability to delight in those little moments in life that just make you sigh in pleasure.

I’ve been so busy with my normal job, and my business, that I find myself approaching feelings of burn-out. I know that it’s a reminder to slow down, shift some things around, and find a routine that allows me to have more ‘breathing’ room.

Sunday I ended up staying awake two hours after my bed time, snuggled up in bed on a cool day, reading a romance novel and it was wonderful. I think it was one of my favorite moments of the entire week, even though it left me tired and grumpy the next day.

This week I want to delight in the little things, but I also want to make time for them as well. 

Right now I am going to take some time to make myself a nice meal and I am going to delight in how good it feels to sit, relax, and enjoy.
