Today we’re talking about chakras again. You can read about the Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, and the Solar Plexus Chakra, if you’re interested in knowing more about them as well. Today we’re learning about the Heart Chakra, which I think is the chakra that ends up needing the most healing.
The Heart Chakra
Location: Center of the chest
This chakra is the one that we all understand. We believe that we hold our emotions right here *taps chest*. We talk about our heartbreaking. Or how we get so overwhelmed with emotions that our hearts literally hurt.
The Heart Chakra represents love and compassion, it governs our feelings of unconditional love and forgiveness. This is all very deep stuff and work that Blessing Manifesting revolves around. I am all about heart. The color associated with the heart chakra is green (and sometimes pink). I love that it’s the color of earth, such a soothing, healing, beautiful, color.
When your Chakra is open and balanced you’ll be able to express acceptance of yourself and others.
This is where your love just flows out of you. You’ll be in touch with your compassion and be able to feel happiness, joy, and love without negative feelings following along for the ride. You’re able to be sympathetic to others (not overly so) and form nourishing bonds with your family, friends, and those around you.
Emotional signs that this chakra is blocked are repressed emotions and the inability to feel things or to get in touch with your feelings. Constantly pushing people away, distancing yourself, and not letting people get to know you, is a sign that you might need to do some heart-work.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, if your chakra is over-balanced you are completely dominated by your emotions.
You’re desperate to please others and you feel things for them instead of yourself. There’s a thin line between being compassionate and empathetic and invading other people’s happiness and feelings. A few ways to heal those imbalances are with crystals such as rose quartz, green aventurine, moss agate, and rhodonite.
Rose Quartz is really great for fostering a sense of love for yourself, if that’s something that you are having issues with. You can place the stones in your receiving hand (usually the left one) and while breathing deep, let their energy flow through you. You can also lay down and meditate with the crystal placed over your heart. Making a necklace that hangs over your heart is a great idea too. You can also experiment with essential oils like rose.
Roses are a symbol of love and desire and are perfect for facilitating love both for yourself and others. Put rose in a massage oil and rub it over your heart. You can wear it while meditating or going about your day, you can put it in a bath, add it to candles or diffusers, or put it in spray bottles with water to anoint your space with. Rose has been associated with Aphrodite/Venus, Goddesses of Love, you can call upon her for guidance and to surround you in a loving atmosphere.
