Inside my Self-Love Workbook (September)

self-love workbookHappy September you lovely people! As is my ritual every month, I pull out my Self-Love Workbook and I start writing, planning, and creating goals. It's a way to organize my thoughts and let go of everything that happened in the month before (Ye Gods, August was tough for me!) and plan for all the things that I want to do in the coming month. (If you're interested in the pens/stickers/washi tape I use, check out this link)

Like I said, August was a hard one. It started with the eclipse and then my birthday and I felt so many things in my life crumbling but in ways that feel like they are meant to be. I feel like there's some unveiling happening within me. It's heavy stuff. It's good stuff. I've also been keeping track of my moods and I saw a lot of anger and frustration at first and I feel like I need it right now to push me through it.

Growth is hard and growing pains suck.

Sometimes I want to make a huge blanket fort and spend my whole day coloring and taking naps. As I was working on the pages for this month, I thought about how in the Self-Love Guide the first section is just this thing. Destruction and how it relates to self-care. I feel like that unraveling of self is needed for growth. Part of that is because every time I've grown, really grown, it's come right after one of those life events that knock you down on your ass.

Often we have to let who we used to be. We have to rediscover the core of who we are. Then, we can build on that without all of our baggage weighing us down. I went back to the Self-Love Guide and I filled out those pages on destruction and I got so much clarity about a lot of things I was feeling and why I was feeling them.

My Self-Love workbook is a place to keep all of my plans and goals. Not only do I schedule in things like yoga but also blog plans and ideas.

In case you missed it, last week I made a mood and medication tracker that you can print out and add to your workbook.

I've also felt this huge push to create and move this energy into productive ways. Soooo, I made a thing for you! Here are some round printable affirmation cards that you can print out and put everywhere as a reminder. Print them out for you, for friends, for strangers! Spread the love. You can download them here. self-love workbook
