Lepidolite, be still my heart

My birthday was last month and I’m firmly embarking into my 30s at the ripe old age of 31. Happy birthday to me! One of my online tribe members sent me a lovely necklace of lepidolite. If you’re a member of the SoulSisterhood then you know I’ve been going through some stuff lately and heavily focusing on my own healing. This was the perfect addition to that. It is a reminder to stop, breathe, and focus on myself.
Lepidolite is probably one of the most beautiful untumbled stones I own. It’s a light purple color with glittery bits and when you put it in the sunlight it’s mesmerizing. I have a few tumbled pieces but it doesn’t hold the same magic. It’s also a stone I haven’t worked closely with but already, I’m loving it.

Lepidolite is a form of mica, which just means it’s made up of lots of different minerals including lithium, which is used to treat depression! Talk about perfect. I believe that it came into my life at the perfect time, as things usually do.
Here’s what my handy-dandy Crystal Bible has to say about this stone.

“Lepidolite is extremely useful in the reduction of stress and depression. It halts obsessive thoughts, relieves despondency, and overcomes insomnia. Lepidolite contains lithium and is helpful in stabilizing mood swings and bipolar disorders. It is excellent for overcoming any kind of emotional or mental dependency, supportive in releasing from addictions and complaints of all kinds. As a “stone of transition”, it releases and reorganizes old psychological and behavioral patterns, inducing change.

Emotionally: Lepidolite enhances standing in your own space, free from the influences of others. It is a calming stone that soothes sleep disturbances and emotional stress, bringing deep emotional healing.”

I wanted to share my experience with lepidolite.

Firstly, no crystal is going to cure you or heal you like magic, but they are great helpers. I believe in crystal healing when it’s combined with a whole host of other things, just putting that out there! I think one of the most powerful things about crystal healing is that it keeps your healing at the forefront of your mind and that’s what you need. When I’m wearing lepidolite, or any other crystal, each time I notice it or touch it, I automatically have a word association in my mind and that brings the healing to me. I see the necklace in the mirror and my brain is automatically like “Take a deep breath.” It creates a kind of a totem. With the intense stress of the last few months, I’ve been focusing on my self care, taking my vitamins, and generally just trying to breathe through the day. I started wearing my lepidolite necklace and within three days I had bought a brand new journal and started writing down my feelings and I’d had an intense healing session with myself (something I’d been trying to motivate myself to do for months). I also wore the necklace while I was sleeping and was able to remember all of my dreams (and they were good dreams! Bonus points).

I felt so much better after a week and while I can’t attribute it to just the lepidolite, I do know that when you do the work it works for you.
