November Tarotscopes!

Happy November!
I wanted to start off this month by doing a tarotscope! It’s a horoscope using tarot cards. This month I am using the tarot deck Journey into the Hidden Realm by Barbara Moore and Julia Jeffrey. The art is beautiful and I am feeling these cards lately. This month a lot of Swords came up. That means there’s a lot of forceful and powerful energy afoot along with Cups which is tied to emotion and feelings. Today is election day in the US and I see a lot of this applying to how we all feel!

SCORPIO (October 23-November 21)

Four of Swords: It is time to take a step back and stop. There’s something bothering you right now and you’ve been going over it and over it and over it in your head and it’s getting you nowhere but closer to insanity. It’s time to take a step back, stop over analyzing it, decide to do nothing for the time being, and let the answers come to you.

Self Care Activity: Do something playful to take your mind off your worries. There’s nothing to do right now but to wait it out. Calm your mind and do something that relaxes you and helps you let go of the stress.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22-December 21)

Queen of Swords: If you aren’t good at thinking with your head – it’s time to start, there’s an area of your life that needs it right now. If that’s something that you’re good at, see if there’s someone in your life that’s in need of a little left-brain advice. Draw on your own experiences and embrace the wisdom you’ve been given or impart it to others.

Self Care Activity: If you have a problem seeing yourself as wise, take out your journal and start writing about some of the things you’ve experienced. Access your wisdom. Put it there in black and white so that you can see that you are stronger and braver than you thought you were.

CAPRICORN (December 22-January 19)

Four of Cups: If you’re suffering from grass-is-greener syndrome, you need to find a way to stop focusing on it in a negative way, or be proactive enough to change your circumstances. Don’t get so lost in the dissatisfaction you feel toward life, job, relationships, or whatever, that you forget to see the good things that are happening in those places as well.

Self Care Activity: Count your blessings. It’s totally okay to want to change your circumstances when you’re unhappy, but don’t let that feeling of unhappiness turn you into someone you aren’t. Make a list of all the things you are grateful for.

AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18)

Two of Swords: Balance and conflict, heart and mind, the different sides of the same truth. The two of swords represents having to make a really hard decision and having no idea how to go about that so you’re practicing avoidance. This might be a no-win situation, there’s no clear “truth”, there’s no right way, so it’s time to compromise or make a truce with whatever it is you might be struggling with.

Self Care Activity: Make peace with the fact that there will be times when there is no easy answer. You might have to go with the lesser of two evils instead of what is “right”. If there’s a problem or issue you’ve been struggling with, take time to face it. See if there’s a way to move past your internal conflict. It’ll be good for your soul.

PISCES (February 19-March 20)

tarotscopesAce of Cups: Is there someone you’ve been wanting to intimately connect with? This might be a romantic interest or a friend or family member that you want to have a deep heartfelt conversation with. Open yourself up to the flow of that energy. It’s time to reach out and let love guide you. Seek that deep, emotional, connection.

Self Care Activity: If you’re missing someone right now, it might be the right time to start healing whatever caused a rift. If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your spouse/friends/family – try opening up and having an emotional conversation to help jump start connection.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

The World: There’s a cycle that has come to an end in your life and it’s time to give a nod to it. Acknowledge endings and beginnings and the turning of the wheel and let yourself lean into it. Feel it, see how much power and strength it took to get where you are.

Self Care Activity: If you’re used to jumping from one project into another, take a moment right now to celebrate or grieve. Some cycles end with that feeling accomplishment – celebrate it. Others mark a period of grief – let yourself feel it.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

The Moon: If there’s a lot of fear and anxiety surrounding your life right now, it’s time to lessen the anxiety. Your fears grow from some place inside of you, find that place, shine light on it, and allow yourself to understand how your experiences have shaped your fears and anxieties. Talk yourself through those feelings and allow yourself to see that history will not always repeat itself. You’ll be okay.

Self Care Activity: Work on your self-talk. This doesn’t just mean being nice in the way that you think of yourself and talk to yourself, but it also means be reassuring. Remind yourself that you are okay and that you are safe.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Four of Pentacles: If you don’t have a safe space in your life, it’s time to create one. This can be physical, like a place you feel comfortable inside of your home. Emotional as in having someone that you can talk to about your feelings. Or mentally by making sure that your thoughts are kind and loving.

Self Care Activity: If there is healing to be done in your life you need to create a container to facilitate it. Make a place where you can meditate or journal, find a good therapist or a friend to talk to. Create a loving and supportive environment around yourself.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Three of Cups: Focus on the little moments of celebration. Celebrate getting a good parking lot or a random thing going right for you. Invite others to celebrate with you. Come up with little ways to celebrate the people in your life and yourself! Spend time with your favorite people and spread the joy!

Self Care Activity: Pull out the good china, the fancy clothes, the things that you save for special occasions, and make the current moment special.

LEO (July 23-August 22)

Six of Cups: When you think of the past are you filled with happy memories? Or are your memories tainted by pain and unhappiness? When you can’t let go of the past, even good memories become affected. If there’s something in the past that you struggle to forgive yourself for, it’s time to begin working past it.

Self Care Activity: Take those things in the past that you’ve done and might regret, the things that you wish that you never did, and see it through the eyes of love and compassion. Forgive yourself.

VIRGO (August 23-September 22)

Life Renewed: In this deck, Life Renewed is the Judgment card. Despite how it sounds, it doesn’t actually mean that you are being judged. The Judgment card is about awakening to your life and how it is truly meant to be. Take a look at your life and judge what needs to go and what needs to stay. This can be an intense period of self-reflection.

Self Care Activity: Take time to journal. Where are you in life and where are you going? What are your goals and dreams and plans and how can you make those things happen for yourself? Take the first step in making those things happen!

LIBRA (September 23-October 22)

Four of Wands: Peace and tranquility are right around the corner. If you’ve been going through a difficult time, especially in your home life, things are on the way to getting better. If there have been arguments or disagreements, think about extending an olive branch.

Self Care Activity: Take a look around your home and ask yourself what it needs to be more you.
