About the Self-Care Circle
The Self-Care Circle is my mental health, self-care, and self-love group of almost 20,000 members. It's a safe space to talk about relationships, grief, family, and your self-care and mental health struggles. It's on Facebook and completely free.
When I first started the group in 2011, it was called The SoulSisterhood. I wanted to create a nourishing online community for primarily women to talk about self-care and mental health. In 2021, I changed the name to the Self-Care Circle. I've always allowed anyone to join regardless of gender, but I wanted the name to reflect that inclusiveness as well. We're LGBTQIA+ friendly and anyone regardless of gender is welcome to join. If you want weekly reminders to practice self-care and an awesome community - join us!
We've created a safe space and a compassionate space. There have been conversations about eating disorders, abusive relationships, family issues, parenthood, illness, and depression. We've talked about it all and even when we don't know what to say or we don't have any answers there's still someone to be there, to help us feel less alone.
That's such an amazing thing to have.
The Facebook Group is private (which means that only members can see the posts) and your privacy is respected 100%.
We have a strict no-tolerance policy when it comes to behavior in the group. There's no name-calling or aggressive behavior. We take maturity and personal responsibility seriously and it is so important that we have a loving and respectful atmosphere! If you see something that triggers a negative reaction in you - keep scrolling. This is not the forum for heated debate. If you don't like someone - block them. They'll never know and you'll no longer see their posts (and they'll no longer see yours) and everyone is happy and healthy boundaries are respected!
