What’s Your Self-Care Battery Percentage At?

Good morning!

In case you aren’t following along, I’m doing NaBloPoMo, which means that it’s my goal to write one blog post every day this month, something I’m pretty excited about!

Today’s blog post is going to be short and sweet (I think). I’m kinda just winging it and writing whatever it is that’s going through my head and today, that would be pain. To be specific, a 14-hour migraine.

So today I am all about my self-care battery.

I feel like we all have an internal self-care battery. Daily activities drain us – work, school, parenting. Mental health and stress also drains us. Some people are drained by socializing. Adult responsibilities. The holidays looming on the horizon. Drain.

Self-care recharges the battery. Somethings bring it up a few percents and other things can give you a lovely full charge.

So I’m asking you what’s your percentage and how can you recharge?

I’ve been taking it easy all morning. I had a cuddle and a nap and now I’m watching season three of Atypical and maybe crying a little bit because it’s so good. My brother is on the spectrum so it’s one of those shows that provides representation and I love that.

Here’s to a day of rest and relaxation and fingers crossed that my migraine is gone in time for me to go to work tonight. I’m going to recharge my battery by going to bed early and not letting the migraine stress me out because that just makes it worse.

Here’s to no stress and to recharging!
