This week’s oracle card is from the gorgeous Wild Wisdom of the Faery Oracle by Lucy Cavendish and Selina Fenech.
This card holds such an important message about stability, safety, and security, all very important things, especially for us sensitive people.
We need to feel safe and secure.
This lovely faery wants you to create your own sanctuary. Find a sweet safe place where you can take time for yourself. Just think of it, warmth, silence, comfort, create a place that embodies those qualities.
If you feel yourself feeling overwhelmed and anxious try to find that haven or sanctuary, even if it’s only within yourself.
Take a walk and lose yourself in nature, go sit at a park bench and read, spend time in meditation, or with those friends who give you a solid foundation. Do something self-nurturing.
This card signals a need for solitude and quiet. Be very conscious this week of when you need to take a break. If you feel yourself feeling anxious or stressed out, make the time to check out for a bit and take a rest, whether it be curling up in bed with a good book or taking a nice long walk, whatever makes you feel good. This is a time for introversion, so turn within.
If you look around your home and it just doesn’t feel like it belongs to you, or it doesn’t feel happy to you, this would be a good time to do a bit of cleaning, re-organizing or decorating. Turn your attention towards creating that sacred space for yourself.
At this point my sanctuary kind of has to be within, but that's ok. About 15 years ago or so I had this perfect little apartment (where only I lived, no roomates, husbands, or babies) that was on the third floor and overlooked a small cluster of trees and a lake on the back patio, framed by a pair of French doors. It was here that I created my very first Pagan spiritual practices and here I had some of the most positive experiences. That's the last home I had that felt like a true physical sanctuary but it is my aspiration to have one again someday. :-)
She is gorgeous, thanks for sharing her Dominee :) I'm going to do exactly what she says this weekend!
The beach, cause I'm a mermaid. I just remember to keep calm and let the waves come over me.
That literally sounds like heaven to me!
Good for you! <3
Aww, I hope that you have that in reality some day too. Do you ever create imaginary places in your head for meditation? I have one that I go to and after so long using it, it feels so real.
Last week I finally started to get myself to bed earlier, and my whole day has been better in general as a result! I don't like going to bed at a regular hour as I feel like I'm missing out on me time, but it just makes things so much harder to deal with the next day! (She says, about to go to bed at 1am *cough*).
